About me
Hi, I’m Marissa.
I have a PhD in chemistry, I love Jesus, I love America, and I care deeply about providing my children with a foundational education that will serve them well in college or any future endeavor.
Join me as a begin my homeschool journey with my 5 year old. I’m a mom to two boys, so I also understand that boys are different than girls and do not just sit and do workbooks! Boys need learning to be fun and tactile, and I’m here to help give you ideas as I learn along the way and build curriculum and resources.
Right now our journey has just begun, so expect things to be changing and new things to be added as I work to build resources!
I’m here to help point people in the right direction for good educational resources while also providing free curriculum and resources as well. One of my main motivations for starting this website is that it can be difficult to find free resources and many “behind the paywall” resources aren’t always that helpful!
Why I started White Ranger Homeschool
There’s no shortage of homeschool resources. The hard part is knowing which ones are worth your time and money. I started this site to share the materials I’ve tested, explain the science behind each experiment in plain language, and save other families some trial and error.
How I choose what I recommend
- I recommend things I’ve [personally used and tested].
- I tell you who each pick is best for, including the age range.
- If something has drawbacks, I say so.
- Some links are affiliate links. That never changes what I recommend. Read the disclosure.
A few fun facts
